Expressing Breast milk can be a little much easier for moms especially if they belong to the working class and  need to go back to work soon after delivery. Or they need to have night outs and attend important functions. Get some tips from the article below to help get over that Express breast milking process as it is shared by a mom . In addition, watch a video below on how to express breast milk. Also scroll down to view how to pump a breast milk:

Mastering Express breast milking can be that interesting  that many moms produces more breast milk that they donate to other less fortunate moms. Its only easy though if pumping isn’t so dam hard and I actually never found it easy. The number of times I felt like throwing the bloody pump across our lounge! Honestly I never really mastered it but I had to do it to be able to give the small amount 60-100mls (could never get more than that) to the daycare helpers so that my baby could have breast milk whilst I worked.

Here are some tips from our mums that will help you if you are planning to or need to express :
1: Start early and pump after every feed – sometimes you may only get little bit but don’t worry. Think of or watch your baby. You do feel a bit like a cow being milked and it hurts but worth it. My milk kept my big baby going until 6 months (was a god send when he took the bottle at 2 weeks old when trying to deal with death of my dad)
2:Double pump and start from very early on when milk production is high. I pumped from week 2 straight after a morning feed when I had WAY too much milk and used this for storage.
3: I used a manual pump last time but it took so long to get a good amount I didn’t fi nd it worth it. This time I bought a double electric pump and I do it every 2hrs. After 2 minutes I get 3oz which I find is the perfect amount for our 2 week old. Totally worth the money, especially if you plan on having more than one child

4:I had my son 2weeks ago he never latched on, after my c-section my milk only came in 3 days later so he was used to the bottle. I have a mechanical pump and it works great a lot better than the hand pump. Eat right…drinks lots of water and the more you pump the more milk will flow. I started of getting getting 2oz now I’m at 4oz every 3 to 4hrs
5: Sit down, relax and use it as you-time. Use an electric pump if you don’t mind the noise, play some soft music, or sit with your baby on their play mat.
